In recent times most of banks (SBI, ICICI) posting its recruitment via online for various posts like Probationary Officers (PO), Clerk, Specialist Officer (SO) every year. Most of banks offers direct recruitment like SBI PO,SBI Clerk and other major banks recruiting via Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS). Today off all the jobs, people still prefer to get a bank job. However, due to lack of best practice sharing or proper guidance, they are unable to clear the bank exams or crack the exams in the first go itself.

We would like to share few tips with you which will help you clear the exams in the first go itself.

To prepare and be fighting ready for the exam day just a day before get hold of previous year’s papers and solve them keeping the time in mind to give yourself feel of examination pressure and also help you plan better to attempt all the questions.

To be best prepared for the verbal, please ensure that you are reading something which is beyond you reading skills and doing this a day prior to exam will help you a lot.

For mathematical problems, try and calculate as much as you can using your mind and do calculations in your head. It will give you both accuracy and speed.

Solving a problem – Trying to solve any problem should not become a reputation issue for you, give the problem it’s due time and try to solve it within the time period you had assigned to it earlier when you had received the question paper or while you were doing mock up sessions. Instead try and finish rest of the paper and if time permits do come back and give it a shot.

Avoid any guess work, doing any new practice in the examination hall which you have not even tested earlier or in the mock up sessions leading to the examination day.

How to optimize question paper – We have to divide the paper as per the sections and then chase the first one which can be really give you maximum returns for minimum of effort. In the bank exams that section is the reasoning section. Allot time for each and question in the reasoning section and it should be good enough to score 100%. However, please avoid any kind of guess work as due to negative marking it can be a big counter productive issue.

English Section – Managing this section is totally correlated to your English, if you are good in English then this section will not cause you much of headache and you should start your bank exam with this section only. Otherwise, just attempt the questions which are required to clear the cut off and ensure you are focused on accuracy.

For the comprehension section – read the paragraph initially very fast to ensure you know what it is all about and what line carries what part of the questions. Then while attempting questions, please read the required section accordingly.

Easy questions for every section should be done first then the medium difficulty problems and then the toughest section from your perspective should be attempted by you.

Data questions section – Please use approximation technique to attempt all the questions and it should see you through.

It is very important for you to be updated about latest govt jobs and apply for them immediately as the notifications come.
